KFH raises £25,000 for Housing for Women charity

Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward (KFH) has raised £25,000 in aid of the Housing for Women charity. A team of more than 70 KFH runners took part in the London Estate Agents 10k run organised by the charity on Sunday 7 June, running a route of ten kilometres around Regent’s Park, in North West London.
Housing for Women is a charity and housing association that has been providing homes for London’s most vulnerable women for over 80 years. They offer support by providing secure, affordable housing and related services to a wide range of women and children across the Capital.
Leading the charge at the 10k run for KFH was Leigh Munday, Sales Manager at its Clapham Common branch, who finished in a time of 50:52. He competed alongside his fellow colleagues, as well as runners from other London estate agencies and employees at Housing for Women.
Lee Watts, Managing Director at Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward, comments: “We have been working with Housing for Women since early 2014, and took part in the charity run last year raising over £10,000.
“Many of our staff members got behind the cause, with more than 70 opting to run, and the rest helping to raise funds for their colleagues, as well as through a number of other initiatives, including a cake sale and dress-down Friday at head office. The outcome has been phenomenal, with our staff helping to raise over £12,000, which the company then matched, helping to raise a grand total of £25,000 for Housing for Women.
“Feedback from our team of runners was once again highly positive – they had a great time, and really enjoyed doing their bit for those less fortunate.”
Jakki Moxham, Chief Executive at Housing for Women, said: “This was a fantastic effort and we really appreciate the support from all the KFH runners, their sponsors and from the company who generously matched the funds raised. £25,000 will enable us to make a big difference to the lives of vulnerable woman and their children in London. We really value our relationship with KFH and are extremely grateful for their ongoing support of our work.”
Since KFH started fundraising for Housing for Women, it has raised nearly £40,000.
