KFH staff complete 100km London-Brighton mountain bike ride
20th September, 2021
On Friday 17 September, 12 brave KFH souls completed a 100km off-road trek from London to Brighton on their mountain bikes, in aid of London Youth.
Those who took part include Duncan Blakelock (Central Lettings Director), Robert McLaughlin (North and West Sales Director), Simon Patton (North and West Lettings Director), Malcolm Waldron (Central Mortgage Services Director) Matthew Smith (Sales Branch Director, Muswell Hill), Ramsey Conyers (Sales Branch Director, Chiswick), Liam Bray (Sales Branch Director, Acton), Collin Gillibrand (Lettings Branch Director, Belsize Park), Martin Sharp (Sales Assistant Manager, Ealing), Alex Atkins (Lettings Branch Director, Kingston), William Storey (Lettings Branch Director, Holland Park) and Tom Arnold (Business Analyst, IT).
The toughest part of their ride came after 80km. Having spent most of the day navigating their way over the Surrey Hills, across woodland and along trails, the team reached the hardest climb of the journey – the South Downs. Summoning the effort required to get over the final challenge after a long day of riding was not easy, and the team all had to dig deep to get to the finish line.
Robert McLaughlin said: “I am pleased to say that we all survived the ride and in doing so, we raised over £3,000 for London Youth. It was a great event and I want to thank all of you who supported us with sponsorship money and pay tribute to all those who took part. The beers on the beach by Brighton Pier were all the sweeter having accomplished our goal!”
